The Rabobank is one of the bigger banks in the Netherlands. This event was the creation of the Arjan van Dijk Groep. One of the leading event en communication company in the Netherlands. I was invited by Rene Koenen who did the technical production for the whole event and Ad de Haan, this time as VJ, who I often work with ( see LiveHouse ). Besides this hall there were other locations with live-stages, fashion-shows and several restaurants. There were 8000 people invited. On the main-stage were I worked we had many Dutch artists like Ali B, Di-rect, Guus Meeuwes, Julian Thomas, Ilse de Lange, Raffaëla, Floortje, George Baker, The RABO house band and Marco Borsato with his band. And everything was LIVE, so no tapeacts ! Backstage was a big "parking area" with loads of equipment on rolling risers. They used trafficlights I believe. I think 5 different monitordesks were used. The VJ was Ad de Haan from Digital Cowboys (The LiveHouse). I especially liked the way the LED-tiles worked out in the back. Its a kind of special fill for the back of the stage. Ad had made some stunning effects on them and the video-screens... The rental-company was GOBO (B) and I must say they did an outstanding job here. In total I had some 250 moving lights like MAC 700 spot, MAC 550 spot, MAC 600 Wash, MAC 250kr, MAC 250 Wash and a lot of LED tubes. I operated with a HOG 2 and a wing. ( 7 DMX lines ) It was a big job and a lot of fun. And ofcourse Rene handled his job brilliant. My thanks to Jan (GOBO) Rene and Ad.
